07/23/17 Support groups are important

One of the most important parts of our EDS lives is our local support group. It is absolutely imperative not only for the emotional support of having others that confront the same daily pain and struggles, but it is also a great resource for finding appropriate care.

If I had not found our local support group and also become an administrator, our lives would be very different. We help each other.

When my (now very close) friend reached out to me, it changed our lives (you can read the story that The Mighty published here):

THE MESSAGE THAT HELPED ME FIND HELP FOR MY SON WITH EHLERS-DANLOS SYNDROME

I am so grateful for the technological innovations that have allowed us to reach out to each other. I simply cannot imagine the generations prior to us that did not have this priceless resource.

A group of zebras (the zebra is the symbol for EDS) is called a dazzle. I think that alone is prophetic.
